Shayne C. Huffman
Shayne grew up in El Paso, Texas before moving to Albuquerque for law school. After graduating from the University of New Mexico School of Law, Shayne was too rooted in the community to leave. At various stops in his career, Shayne has litigated cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of areas. He finds most fulfillment in representing individuals fighting against abuses of power.
Shayne appreciates the opportunities to give power back to clients whose rights have been violated by institutions. Shayne is experienced in litigating claims under Title VII, the New Mexico Human Rights Act, and the Whistleblower Protection Act, among other areas against private and public employers. Shayne’s practice also includes litigating civil rights and personal injury cases.
Shayne spends his time away from the office with his wife Sarah and their son. When Shayne can get away from life’s commitments, Shayne likes to travel, ski, run, or, weather permitting, enjoy a patio beer at any of Albuquerque’s breweries with family or friends. Shayne also serves on the Governing Council for Siembra Leadership Academy in downtown Albuquerque.
