Whistleblower Protection

Public employees should feel empowered to speak out against unlawful or improper conduct. Unfortunately, government whistleblowers suffer retaliation all too frequently.

The nail that sticks up often gets hammered down. That’s why New Mexico passed the Whistleblower Protection in 2010. If you are a whistleblower, you have rights and should be free from retaliation for doing the right thing. We can help you assert your rights and fight back against retaliation.

In situations involving financial fraud perpetrated against against the State or federal government, whistle blowing may assist in recovering taxpayer funds. In those cases, the whistleblower may be entitled to a percentage of the money recovered by the government. If you suspect that taxpayer dollars are being mismanaged and fear retaliation, please contact us.
